[03-22-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – 62-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash Near Lower Azusa Road

Authorities stated that a bicyclist was killed by a hit-and-run vehicle in El Monte on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

The crash occurred around 8:55 p.m. on Lower Azusa Road.

The bike was heading east on Lower Azusa Road when he entered the junction with El Monte Avenue, according to police.

According to the El Monte Police Department, the biker was struck by a suspect car moving in the same direction and died at the site.

There are no other facts regarding the victim available at this time.

Authorities are on the lookout for the fleeing motorist and have published a surveillance photo of the vehicle involved.

The car is described as a maroon or burgundy 2019 or 2020 Toyota Avalon with damage to the front bumper.
