What You Should Do After an Accident

Make sure that law enforcement arrives at the scene and files a report. Be honest when you are interviewed at the accident scene. When speaking, avoid making assumptions about things you don’t understand. After an accident, victims may apologize profusely out of anxiety and shock, even if they aren’t at fault. The insurance company can use this act of kindness as evidence that you admitted guilt to avoid paying out on a claim.
