[04-02-2022] Butte County, CA – One Person Seriously Injured After a Fatal Crash on East Gridley Road

One unidentified person was seriously hurt after a traffic collision involving a suspected DUI driver on East Gridley Road on early Saturday morning, April 2, 2022.

According to the initial report from the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 1:10 a.m. on East Gridley Road.

Two unspecified vehicles collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been established.

One person had a fractured femur and had to be airlifted to Enloe Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

One person was arrested on DUI-related charges. Information about the accident is limited at the moment.

An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
