According to the San Bernardino Police Department, the collision happened around 4:43 p.m. on the 300 block of West 8th Street.

The 5-year-old pedestrian sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead.

Authorities are currently investigating the crash, and no further details were released.
