According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened around 7:40 p.m. along the intersection of Esplanade Avenue and San Jacinto Street.

The pedestrian was trying to cross the street when two vehicles struck consecutively.

The victim sustained injuries and had to be transported to a nearby hospital, where he was declared to be dead.

Investigations about the collision are currently underway.
