[04-08-2022] San Mateo County, CA - Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Near Crystal Springs Reservoir Kills One, Injures AnotherOne person was killed and another was seriously injured following a fatal two-vehicle crash on Highway 92 on Friday, April 8, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 4:29 p.m at Cañada Road, near Crystal Springs Reservoir.

An eastbound Honda sedan crossed into the westbound lane and reportedly collided with a BMW.

The BMW driver, a man from Half Moon Bay, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Honda’s driver, a San Mateo woman, was seriously injured and was taken to Stanford Hospital.

The CHP estimated the highway would be closed in both directions for about two hours in an announcement made at 5:10 p.m.

The accident is still under investigation.
