According to the National Center for Health Statistics, 377 people died from other causes, while 712 bikers died in car accidents.

According to statistics, California has the most fatal bicycle accidents. According to a National Bicycle Safety Foundation study, 11,116 injuries and 145 fatalities involving bicycles occurred in California in 2017.

Riders are constantly at risk from road hazards. Vehicles disregard bikers’ rights and ride too close to them, regardless of the risk. As a result, accidents and even deaths are possible.

Because they frequently fail to yield the right of way, drivers frequently slam through stop signs and red lights. A fatal bicycle collision could be caused by drunk driving or reckless driving.
