[04-22-2023] One Killed, Another Suffered Major Injuries After Suspected DUI Wrong-Way Crash in San RafaelOne person was killed, and another was seriously injured in a suspected DUI wrong-way crash in San Rafael early Saturday morning, April 22, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the pickup truck collided head-on with a black 2011 BMW sedan around 3:30 a.m.

The red 2018 Nissan pickup truck was reportedly driving northbound on southbound 101 near the Interstate 580 interchange.

Fire officials pronounced the pickup’s driver, a 22-year-old Santa Rosa resident, dead at the scene after he sustained major injuries.

Authorities say the 30-year-old BMW driver was taken to Marin General Hospital with serious injuries.

The authorities have not yet released any further information.
