[05-27-2023] One Person Killed After Train Collision in SacramentoOne person was killed in a Union Pacific train collision in Sacramento on Saturday afternoon, May 27, 2023.

According to Union Pacific official Mike J., the incident occurred along the route parallel to Roseville Road between Marconi Avenue and Winters Street overpass near the Haggins Oak Gold Complex around 12:00 p.m.

Officials are still investigating the events that could have led to the incident.

Officers from the Sacramento Police Department and Sacramento Fire Department pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

No one aboard the train was injured in the collision.
