[05-30-2023] Father and Son Hospitalized After DUI Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash in Palm SpringsA 31-year-old man identified as Pablo M. and his son were hospitalized after a DUI single-vehicle rollover crash in Palm Springs Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

As the Palm Springs Police Department where investigating two single-vehicle rollover accidents shortly before 2:00 a.m. on North Indian Canyon Road, they discovered a separate unreported crash that happened at an earlier time.

When the authorities examined the vehicle, there was no one inside. However, they later found out that when the car crashed into a large sand berm, there were two occupants, a father and his child.

They reportedly left the vehicle and went to the nearest gas station, where a family member picked them up and transported them to a hospital.

The child sustained major injuries in the face and suffered unknown internal injuries in the body. He was later airlifted to another hospital.

Montealegre was arrested for DUI and child endangerment. Further details regarding the crash were not immediately available.
