[06-16-2023] Teenager Killed, Two Injured in Baldwin Hills Crash Allegedly Caused by DUI DriverAn 18-year-old male teenager was killed, while two others were injured after a DUI crash involving two vehicles in Baldwin Hills, Los Angeles, on Friday night, June 16, 2023.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the incident occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. on La Brea Avenue near Coliseum Street.

According to the report, the incident occurred when a southbound vehicle on La Brea Avenue near Coliseum Street made a left turn, crossing the path of a northbound car carrying three teenagers on the same road.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as a Hispanic male, was taken to a nearby hospital following the accident and unfortunately passed away. The two passengers in the car, 17-year-old females, were also hospitalized but sustained only minor injuries.

Authorities suspect that the driver of the southbound vehicle may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision.

It is unclear whether the second car’s driver was arrested and what their current condition is.

The investigation is ongoing.
