[06-17-2023] 39-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Three Vehicles on Highway 180A 39-year-old man tragically died after being struck by three vehicles on Highway 180 in Fresno County on Saturday night, June 17, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred at approximately 11:40 pm on Highway 180 near Howard Avenue, east of Kerman, in a section called Whitesbridge Avenue.

According to the report, a woman from Kerman was driving westbound when the man reportedly walked into the lane. She could not avoid the man, who was hit a second time by a vehicle behind her. A third vehicle was involved, but it remained unclear at this point.

Authorities from the Fresno Area CHP and emergency responders arrived at the location, where they discovered the man in the roadway and two vehicles that had stopped.

Emergency responders promptly transported the injured man to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.

This investigation is ongoing.
