[06-22-2022] Monterey County, CA – Two People Killed, Seven Others Injured in Fatal Head-On Crash Near Aromas

According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal head-on collision near Aromas resulted in two fatalities and more than a dozen injuries on Wednesday afternoon, June 22, 2022.

The crash occurred Around 3:45 p.m. on Highway 129.

Two pickup trucks, one of which was towing a fifth-wheel toy hauler, collided head-on.

According to the CHP, two people, including the driver of a Honda Ridgeline, were found dead. The driver was identified as Los Banos resident Alex M., 32. The CHP did not disclose the second male victim’s name and age.

Two additional Honda pickup passengers were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The five people in the second pickup were taken to the hospital with only minor wounds. According to the CHP, three children, aged 10, 12, and 14, were among the passengers. Local authorities stated that all five were Visalia residents.

The crash remains under investigation.
