[07-30-2023] At Least One Person Injured After DUI Rear-End Collision on Highway 395At least one person was injured after a rear-end collision caused by a DUI driver in Lassen County on Sunday evening, July 30, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Highway 395 at Hall Road around 10:00 p.m.

The sedan driver was driving recklessly, making unsafe passes, and driving at high speeds. In an attempt to pass another vehicle, it swerved on the road, resulting in a rear-end collision with another vehicle.

The other car’s occupants were taken to Renown for medical treatment after suffering minor injuries. After being taken to Banner, the sedan driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

No information about the identities of the injured or the number of those involved in the accident was provided. There is still an investigation underway.
