[08-23-2022] Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Peninsula Freeway RampAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a man was killed in the third of three crashes involving three vehicles on a Daly City freeway connector on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

According to authorities, the first incident occurred at 7:03 a.m. Tuesday, on the connector from northbound Highway 1 to southbound Interstate 280: a Toyota Scion collided with a barrier and came to a stop on the ramp.

A Nissan Sentra on the single-lane ramp then collided with the Scion. The driver of the Sentra had just stepped onto the road when a Toyota Yaris hit him and his vehicle.

The driver of the Sentra was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to the CHP.

The ramp was closed for nearly two hours just north of the Serramonte shopping mall.
