Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics
Every year, a large number of people in California are killed in single-vehicle accidents.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, roughly 62% of fatal car accidents in California only involve one vehicle. To drive legally in California, you need to be constantly vigilant for a wide variety of threats.
There are many potential contributors to single-vehicle accidents. Imprudent driving on a slippery road, such as increasing your speed or making a sharp turn, can lead to an off-road collision or a runaway car. Large pieces of debris from the truck’s back may have washed up on the side of the road. This could make driving conditions even worse.
Even if another driver’s negligence caused the single-vehicle accident, your ability to recover damages may be severely constrained by your insurance policy’s coverage plan.
