[09-08-2022] Ventura County, CA - Unidentified Man Died After a Fatal Pedestrian Crash along PCHThe man who was killed on September 8, 2022 while walking along Pacific Coast Highway near the border with Los Angeles County has been identified by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The MEO’s office identified Thu V., a 48-year-old man who is a transient.

The California Highway Patrol says that Vo was walking south in the northbound lanes of PCH in Ventura County at 7:35 p.m. that night.

A 65-year-old man from Port Hueneme was driving north in a Ford Expedition when Vo is said to have walked right into the path of the car. CHP officials said the driver stopped after the accident and stayed at the scene.

According to the CHP, a man was killed after a pedestrian crash involving a car close to the border of Los Angeles County along PCH on Thursday night, September 8, 2022.

The accident occurred at 7:35, near the county line, north of the Pacific Coast Highway.

For an unknown reason, the victim was walking south in the northbound lanes of the highway, according to CHP.

The victim crossed the road in front of a 2014 Ford Expedition driven northbound by a 65-year-old Port Hueneme man. After striking the victim, the driver swerved onto the right shoulder.

The man died at the scene, according to CHP. His identity is kept secret until the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office notifies his next of kin.
