[09-19-2023] Driver Injured After Being Struck by Metrolink Train in OxnardA driver was injured after being struck by a Metrolink train in Oxnard on Tuesday morning, September 19, 2023.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, the collision happened around 6:17 a.m. between Rose Avenue and Fifth Street.

A woman failed to clear the limit line, and the back of her vehicle was hit by a train, causing delays with the rail system.

Based on initial reports, 25 people aboard the train showed no visible injuries. The female driver complained of pain but was not transported to the hospital.

A portion of Rose Avenue was closed while waiting for the repair of the crossing arms. Authorities have not released any further information about the collision.
