According to the San Jose police, the crash occurred at 9:37 a.m. in a parking lot on the 1700 block of Automation Parkway near Hostetter Road in the Berryessa neighborhood.

According to the police, an adult female pedestrian sustained injuries that are considered to be life-threatening.

This is the most recent incident in a series of vehicle accidents that involved people walking or riding bicycles.

The name of the pedestrian was not immediately made public after the incident.

The driver stayed at the scene and was being cooperative with the investigation the police were conducting.

The investigation into the collision is still ongoing.
