[10-17-2023] Lassen County, CA – School Bus Involved in Big-Rig Collision Reported in Standish

A school bus was involved in a truck collision in Standish, Lassen County, on Tuesday afternoon, October 17, 2023.

According to the Susanville Office of the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on US-395 and Johnson Road.

A big rig collided with a school bus, but no visible injuries have been initially reported. It was not revealed if any other passengers were on the bus.

Highway 395 was blocked near Johnson Road at 6 p.m., but all vehicles had been cleared by 8 p.m. Further information regarding the cause of the incident has not been released by the authorities.
