[10-23-2022] Sutter County, CA - 35-Year-Old Woman Killed in DUI Crash Near Highway 20 in SutterAccording to the Yuba-Sutter CHP, a 35-year-old woman died after a DUI driver struck them in a two-vehicle collision in Sutter early Saturday morning, October 23, 2022.

As per California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 1:00 a.m. south on Humphrey near the intersection on Highway 20.

The Police reported that Serina A., 24, was traveling south on Humphrey Road more than the posted speed limit as she approached the Highway 20 intersection.

The California Highway Patrol reports that Ali drove through the intersection and crashed into the left side of a 2010 Dodge Charger driven by a 35-year-old woman.

According to police, the woman’s death has been ruled a homicide at the scene. Stacy Ali, a passenger in Ali’s car, was taken to the hospital with cuts to her hands and legs and possibly broken ribs.

An official medical checkup for Serina was scheduled at the local hospital. After being treated at the hospital, she was arrested for DUI because police said she displayed signs of intoxication.

The police eventually arrested her for driving and causing a fatal accident.

After the woman’s next of kin has been notified, her identity will be made public.
