An unidentified 57-year-old man was injured after a pedestrian crash in Poway on Thursday afternoon, November 18, 2021.

A passing vehicle suddenly struck the pedestrian for unclear reasons at the intersection. The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was rushed to Palomar Hospital in Escondido for treatment.

On the other hand, the driver that struck the pedestrian was uninjured in the mishap. He remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities.

Information about the accident is limited at the moment. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

The Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (STAR) and local authorities are currently investigating the case.
