[11-21-2022] Motorcyclist Fatally Struck Following Collision on Interstate 880A traffic collision resulted in the death of one motorcyclist on Interstate 880 Monday night, November 21, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash occurred around 6:35 p.m. north of the A Street exit.

Reports indicate that four vehicles were involved in the collision on a secondary road running beneath the freeway.

It started when the motorcycle rider clipped another vehicle, collided with it, and then rear-ended another vehicle, ejecting the rider.

Responders arrived and discovered the unidentified motorcyclist with severe wounds. Despite their best efforts, the victim was confirmed dead at the scene.

His identity was unknown, pending notification of his next of kin.

No other drivers were hurt in the collision.
