[11-28-2022] Man on Road Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Red BluffA man who pulled over was struck and killed by a car in Red Bluff early Monday morning, November 28, 2022.

Authorities reported that the deadly collision transpired around 4:45 a.m. northbound Interstate 5 south of Adobe Road.

Officials state that the 34-year-old driver pulled over to the highway’s right shoulder.

A 55-year-old man was approaching the victim’s location while driving a 2014 Toyota Prius northbound.

The victim exited his car and stood on the east shoulder when the Prius struck him.

When responders arrived, they declared the 34-year-old victim dead on the scene.

Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the fatal crash.
