[12-04-2022] Female Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Car on East White Lane in BakersfieldA female pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Bakersfield on Sunday evening, December 04, 2022.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the deadly crash occurred shortly after 7:00 p.m. at East White Lane and South Union Avenue.

The responders arrived at the scene to find a woman with serious injuries on the road. She was declared dead on the spot.

The driver remained at the scene and helped the police. The victim, whose identity will be released by Kern County Coroner’s Office, was reportedly walking outside a crosswalk during the collision.

Upon investigation, the officials said neither alcohol, drugs, nor speed appeared to have caused the crash.
