[12-16-2022] Pedestrian Woman Struck And Killed in Hit-And-Run Collision Lake IsabellaA hit-and-run car fatally struck a female pedestrian in Lake Isabella on Friday afternoon, December 16, 2022.

Authorities reported that the fatal collision occurred around 5:45 p.m. westbound on Highway 178, east of Patterson Lane.

Reports state that the 39-year-old victim, Jillian Nicole P., was walking in traffic when she was struck by a car traveling 60 miles per hour.

When authorities arrived, they discovered a woman who had been struck and killed by a car.

According to officers, the driver did not see the woman walking on the road and fled the scene. They were able to contact the driver the next day.

Investigations are ongoing into the collision.
