[12-18-2023] Riverside County, CA – 37-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle Along I-215 in Murrieta

A 37-year-old pedestrian named Teddy R. was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Murrieta on Monday evening, December 18, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened before 9:15 p.m. along Interstate 215, north of Baxter Road.

A Toyota RAV4 was traveling northbound when a pedestrian allegedly leaped a chainlink fence and attempted to cross the freeway before walking into the path of the Toyota driver.

The victim was declared dead at the scene, while the Toyota driver remained to cooperate with the investigations.

The authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fatal collision.
