[01-02-2022] One Person Killed After a Deadly DUI Accident near Bardsley Street and Spruce AvenueAn unidentified pedestrian was killed after a suspected drunk driver was struck near Bardsley Street and Spruce Avenue on Sunday evening, January 2, 2022.

The accident happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the area of Bardsley Street and Spruce Avenue.

The victim attempted to cross the street when he was suddenly struck by a passing vehicle. He was immediately rushed to an area hospital, but he unfortunately later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. He was identified as 41-year-old Danny C.

Authorities evaluated him, and he was arrested for DUI-related charges and vehicular manslaughter. He was booked into the Tulare County Jail. Local authorities are further investigating the accident.
