[01-03-2022] Fresno County, CA – One Person Killed After a Deadly Car Crash Near Auberry Road

An unidentified 21-year-old man was killed after a deadly car crash near Auberry Road on Saturday evening, January 1st, 20212.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident happened on Highway 168, east of Auberry Road, at around 8:15 p.m.

A westbound Toyota MR2 was traveling on Highway 168 when the driver lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a crest.

The Toyota MR2 then veered into the eastbound lanes and was struck by a passing Toyota Tacoma. Unfortunately, the Toyota driver was killed in the crash.

No other injuries were reported. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

An active investigation of the crash is currently underway.
