An unidentified 21-year-old man was killed after a deadly car crash near Auberry Road on Saturday evening, January 1st, 20212.

A westbound Toyota MR2 was traveling on Highway 168 when the driver lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a crest.

The Toyota MR2 then veered into the eastbound lanes and was struck by a passing Toyota Tacoma. Unfortunately, the Toyota driver was killed in the crash.

No other injuries were reported. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

An active investigation of the crash is currently underway.
