[01-08-2022] Fresno County, CA – Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Auberry Road Results in Two Deaths

Two unidentified people were killed following a multi-vehicle crash involving motorcycles on Auberry Road on Saturday afternoon, January 8, 2022. The fatal accident occurred on Auberry Road, just southwest of the Fresno Rifle and Pistol Club, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Unfortunately, one of the motorcyclists could not avoid an oncoming northbound Subaru SUV and collided head-on with it.

The Subaru driver then attempted to steer left to avoid crashing into the other motorcyclist. However, it ended up crashing into a black pickup truck. The two motorcyclists were killed in the mishap. Their identities have not been disclosed. Meanwhile, the SUV driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The two motorcyclists were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. Authorities believe that they were legally passing on a dashed line. An active investigation of the fatal crash is currently underway.

Fatal Motorcycle Crash Statistics
