An unidentified woman was killed after a fatal pedestrian accident in Menifee on Wednesday evening, January 12, 2022.

The woman was reportedly walking on the south side of the highway when she stepped into lanes to go to the north curb.

Meanwhile, an oncoming sedan was traveling at unknown speeds. As it approached the woman, the driver attempted to swerve away from the pedestrian but could not successfully avoid her.

The driver remained at the scene and immediately called 911. Unfortunately, the unidentified woman was killed in the crash.

The side of the intersection had a ‘No Pedestrian Crossing’ sign and had no marked crosswalks.
