Two-Vehicle Accident Statistics

Official data shows that every minute, one person is killed and ten more are injured due to automobile accidents in the United States. Each year, nearly two million children and young adults under the age of twenty-four are killed and another ten million are damaged due to these preventable causes.

It is estimated that around 10,000 people in the Golden State of California will be killed in road accidents by the year 2050. To think that these numbers will just keep climbing is disheartening.

Car-related fatalities have increased by an average of 23.5 percent each year since 2013. In 2017, 3,898 people were killed and 279,223 were injured on the nation’s roadways. Nine out of every 100,000 people who rode public transportation that year died.

Nearly every California motorist has a terrible tale to tell about a time they were behind the wheel and almost had an accident. Avoiding collisions is easier with vigilant driving habits, including keeping a safe following distance and performing routine vehicle inspections.
