According to the California Highway Patrol, the head-on collision between three vehicles occurred along State Route 41 close to Yosemite Springs Parkway.

The cause and circumstances that led to the crash remain under investigation. The number of people involved and the extent of possible injuries are also unclear, but one person was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital via a Life Flight Helicopter.

A soft lockdown was implemented on the Minarets Campus, not because the crash was connected, but because the landing area for life flights was the Minarets High School.

The traffic was delayed on Highway 41 at Yosemite Springs Parkway as emergency personnel worked on the scene. It was reopened several hours later.

What to Do After an Accident and How to Get a Police Report

After an automobile accident, calling the authorities right away is crucial. If questioned, just provide the facts as you know them without offering any interpretations. As a result of their trauma, some people who have been in accidents end up apologizing extensively even when they were not at fault. The insurance company could use this as justification to deny your claim.
