At least three bicyclists were hurt after a bull attack in a Bakersfield race on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

The contestants are expected to travel through an elevation gain of about 6500 feet and plenty of wild animals along the way.

As the cyclists were racing through the area, they mistook a bull for a cow and continued riding without changing their route.

Unfortunately, this agitated the bull, and the animal started charging towards the four cyclists participating in the race. At least three bicyclists sustained moderate to serious injuries in the accident.

Local authorities are further investigating the case.
