02-14-2023-63-Year-Old-Man-Fatally-Struck-by-Vehicle-in-OxnardA pedestrian crash claimed the life of a 63-year-old man in Oxnard on Tuesday night, February 14, 2023.

According to authorities, the deadly collision occurred around 9:40 p.m. close to Fifth and G Streets.

Reports indicated that a 47-year-old Oxnard man was driving a 2003 Chevy Express westbound on Fifth when he collided with a 63-year-old male pedestrian.

Paramedics responded and transported the victim to the hospital, where he died.

Meanwhile, the vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Officials said they do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the collision, but investigations continue.

They still don’t know where the pedestrian was crossing the street when he was hit.
