[02-28-2022] Fresno County, CA – One Woman Killed in Fatal Train Accident in Central Fresno

According to the Fresno Police Department, traffic was backed up after a fatal train crash in central Fresno on Monday evening, February 28, 2022.

Officers were dispatched to the area near Palm and Dakota avenues around 4:50 p.m. after it was reported that a pedestrian had been struck by a train.

According to authorities, the woman died as a result of her injuries.

As the investigation continues, officers have taped off the intersection of Palm and Dakota.

The road is expected to be closed for the foreseeable future.

Drivers are advised to stay away from the area.
