Two drivers were killed following a deadly head-on collision in Modesto on Monday morning, February 28, 2022.

[02-28-2022] Stanislaus County, CA - Two Drivers Killed Following a Deadly Head-On Crash in ModestoThe accident happened in the area of South Carpenter Road and West Main Avenue at approximately 5:40 a.m.

A westbound 2016 Subaru SUV was traveling on West Main Street when the driver attempted to overtake the vehicles ahead of him.

Unfortunately, after trying to pass the vehicles in front of him, he ended up colliding head-on with an oncoming 2006 Honda sedan.

The Subaru overturned and caught fire following the crash. The two drivers were killed in the collision. They were both pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been disclosed.

Local authorities are further investigating the case.
