An unidentified driver was pronounced dead after a train crash on Scott Street Friday morning, March 4, 2022.

A southbound Caltrain train slammed into the vehicle for unknown reasons. The vehicle driver was discovered dead at the scene by emergency responders. His name will not be released until his next of kin has been notified.

The transit agency was forced to shut down the southbound track as a result of the collision.

Meanwhile, officials reported that none of the 31 passengers on the southbound train #108 were injured.

There are no other details available.

The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the train collision.
