It was determined that the accident involved three vehicles and that one driver died as a result of his injuries.

On State Route 99, southbound just north of Betty Drive, a 26-year-old male from Sacramento, Calif., was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry.

The driver was unable to maintain control of his vehicle, which spun out across all southbound lanes and collided with the center concrete wall for unknown reasons.

The Toyota driver died as a result of the collision, but Gomez and Beltran were unharmed. DUI was not a factor for Gomez or Beltran, but the driver of the Toyota is still unknown pending toxicology results.
