[03-18-2022] Kern County, CA – One Person Killed in Fatal Head-On Crash on Stockdale Highway

According to the California Highway Patrol, a head-on collision on Stockdale Highway killed 24-year-old Bernabe G. and injured an unidentified person early Friday morning, March 18, 2022.

The CHP was dispatched to the crash scene shortly before 2:00 a.m.

According to the CHP, an SUV crossed the center line and collided head-on with a semi.

According to CHP, the SUV’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger was taken to a local hospital.

CHP further reported that the semi-driver suffered minor injuries and cooperated with the investigation.

Recent updates from CHP also showed that alcohol became a contributing factor in the fatal head-on crash.

Traffic between Highway 43 and Interstate 5 was halted as a result of the accident.
