[03-22-2024] Two People Hospitalized Following Plane Crash Near ActonTwo people were hospitalized following a plane crash near Acton, Los Angeles County, on Friday evening, March 22, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. between Moody Canyon Truck Trail and BP&L Road.

A single-engine Piper PA-28 left Palmdale Regional Airport at about 5:40 p.m. and flew 30-35 miles when the pilot reported an engine issue before crashing.

Two people were aboard the Piper Cherokee plane. Both victims were conscious while being airlifted to a hospital. Their conditions are still unknown.

The aircraft appeared to have been mostly undamaged, and no one in the area sustained any injuries.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
