[03-22-2024] Orange County, CA – Female Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle on SR-73 in Santa Ana

A female pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle along SR-73 in Santa Ana on Friday morning, March 22, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 8:44 a.m. on SR-73 S / Macarthur Blvd.

Authorities stated that the pedestrian was hit by a black Toyota 4Runner. She was found in the #3 lane of the highway, lying on the ground. Witnesses described the victim as a woman wearing a black shirt and black leggings.

Police said that the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. It is still unknown why she crossed the highway.

Details regarding the cause of the collision and the identity of the individuals involved are not yet disclosed.
