According to the Simi Valley Police and Ventura County Fire Department, the fatal crash occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m. in the 1600 block of Cochran Street.
A woman was discovered trapped inside the wreckage of a silver Scion and was declared dead at the scene after medical responders tried to save her. No other information is available on the woman’s identity until the next of kin is notified.
The two occupants of the second vehicle, a white Mazda, reportedly sustained minor injuries. One of them was taken to a nearby hospital. A later report revealed that the occupants were both male minors.
