[04-01-2023] One Killed, Two Injured After Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Collision near BolinasOne person was killed while two others were sent to the hospital following a collision between two motorcycles and a vehicle in Marin County on Saturday afternoon, April 01, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol‘s official report, the collision occurred at about 1:15 p.m. on Highway 1 near Fairfax-Bolinas Road near the census-designated place of Bolinas.

Two motorcycles, a Yamaha and BMW, both moving south, reportedly collided with a Subaru Crosstrek traveling north. The cause of the collision is currently unknown, and the investigation continues.

The Yamaha’s 60-year-old male rider from Forestville was killed. The other rider, Daniel O., 24, from Santa Rosa, was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

The Subaru driver, 83-year-old Barbara B. from Stinson Beach, was sent to Marin Health Medical Center with chest pain. Authorities believed alcohol or drugs did not play a role.

Up until 4:30 p.m., Highway 1 was shut down in both directions. No further information was immediately available.
