[04-12-2022] Worker Killed After a Fatal Pedestrian Accident along the Moreno Valley FreewayAn unidentified Spectrum Construction Co. crew was killed after getting hit by a car along the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway on Tuesday morning, April 12, 2022.

The accident happened on the westbound lanes of 60 Freeway, just east of Moreno Beach Drive, at approximately 11:15 a.m.

A 2016 Hyundai Sonata was traveling at 45 mph in the slow lane when the car suddenly veered onto the shoulder and into the dirt, where the victim was working.

The vehicle then struck the worker. The worker’s back was turned to traffic as he was working at the accident and did not see the vehicle coming.

Unfortunately, the victim could not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the Hyundai driver remained at the scene and was detained and questioned by the CHP officers.

An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
