[04-18-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Killed After a Deadly DUI Crash in Long Beach

A 32-year-old woman identified as Tiffany H. was killed following a deadly traffic crash involving a suspected drunk driver in Long Beach on Monday morning, April 18, 2022.

A 32-year-old woman identified as Tiffany H. was killed following a deadly traffic crash involving a suspected drunk driver in Long BeachThe collision occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m on the Long Beach (710) Freeway at the transition to the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway.

The victim was driving a 2013 Toyota sedan northbound on the 710 Freeway when she stopped on the No. 2 lane. A 2002 Chevrolet then rear-ended her.

Moments later, a 2018 Ford struck the Toyota and a big rig that was also stopped on the freeway’s right shoulder.

Unfortunately, the Toyota sedan driver was killed in the mishap. Authorities later determined that the Chevrolet driver was under the influence at the accident.

The Chevrolet driver was identified as 60-year-old Alfonso S. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under alcohol.

An active investigation of the case is currently underway. Witnesses that can provide additional helpful information about the accident are urged to call CHP at 424-551-4000.
