Sacramento Police said the fatal collision occurred at 24th Street and W Street around 3:30 p.m.

The biker, identified as 57-year-old Edward S., was declared dead at the scene by authorities. The car driver remained in the area to cooperate with officials.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation by police.
