[04-25-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Tragic Two-Vehicle Head-On Collision Killed Two Women in Palmdale

Two people are dead, and one is in critical condition after a fatal two-vehicle head-on collision in Palmdale on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the accident and provided medical treatment to all parties involved on Avenue O and 117th Street.

A black Mitsubishi Galant was eastbound on Avenue O, while a white Dodge Ram was westbound, according to a Palmdale Sheriff’s Station news release.

The woman driving the Galant maneuvered the car through slow-flowing water and lost control, entering the westbound lane of travel and colliding head-on with the white Dodge Ram. The driver of the Mitsubishi was pronounced dead on the spot.

The two adult female passengers were transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the passenger in the back seat died at the hospital while the other was in critical condition.

The driver of the Ram, with an unspecified injury, was also transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

A portion of Avenue O between 110th and 130th streets east was closed during the investigation.

The identity of the victims was not yet released, pending next-of-kin notification.

The investigation into the crash continues.
