[04-29-2023] Stanislaus County, CA – One Adult and Child Severely Injured After Two-Vehicle DUI-Related Crash on Highway 99

Two passengers, Erica A., 27, and Mia J., 2, were severely injured in a two-vehicle DUI-related crash in Stanislaus County on Saturday evening, April 29, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 9:58 p.m. on Highway 99.

As per the report, Christopher F. collided with a Mercedes by Manuel G. after making an unsafe lane change while driving southbound in a Chevy SUV. Frias’ SUV overturned in the center median, ejecting the front and rear seat passengers.

Armenta was rushed to Modesto Hospital with major injuries. The child was airlifted to U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento with major injuries.

Frias sustained moderate injuries and was arrested for felony DUI, felony child endangerment, and a misdemeanor of unlicensed driving. Guillen was not injured in the crash.
