[05-13-2023] Riverside County, CA – 86-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed Following Hit-And-Run Crash in Desert Hot Springs

An 86-year-old pedestrian was killed following a hit-and-run crash in Desert Hot Springs on Saturday afternoon, May 13, 2023.

According to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department, the fatal collision happened around 12:30 p.m. along Palm Drive near Hacienda Avenue.

An elderly pedestrian named Peter H. was struck by a driver who drove her Jeep onto the sidewalk and quickly left.

The victim suffered severe injuries and was declared dead on the scene, while the driver was arrested and booked into the Riverside County Sheriff’s Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
